Blake Stubley
I have a passion for creating aesthetically pleasing, and often slightly quirky pieces. I don’t like being confined to a single medium; instead, I enjoy experimenting across multiple disciplines, from photography to woodturning, watercolours to resin.
Most of my work begins with a stubborn idea that refuses to leave me alone until I’ve explored it. The materials and techniques may vary, wood, resin, paint, mixed media, but the approach remains consistent: dive in first and work out the process along the way.
I describe this as an “Ignorant but Optimistic” mindset, not knowing exactly how something will be achieved, but trusting that with curiosity, persistence, and a willingness to experiment, a path will reveal itself.
Sometimes that leads to failure. Sometimes it produces something better than I imagined. Either way, every piece teaches me something new and keeps me moving forward.
