Rayjay
Hi, my name is Rayjay,
I was a late starter in the art world when I joined a local regeneration project in Southampton and got involved in art workshops and the production of watercolour artworks. From then on, I have been hooked, and I continued to create art for fun at home. When I moved up to Scotland in 2021, I did a couple of workshops, then on to a 6NC in Art & Design, and finally graduated with an HNC in Art & Design in 2025, aged 52. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done, so it was such an achievement and a dream come true.
My style is currently mixed media. I love different textures, blending, and experimenting with acrylics, oil pastels, collage, paint sticks, oils, and spray paint.
My abstract art reflects my personality and my chaotic brain, channelling my thoughts and energy into a canvas.
