Susan Leishman is a self-taught Scottish artist originally from Glasgow, now living in Ayr on the West Coast of Scotland. In 2014 she joined the Open Studios Ayrshire art trail and participated until 2017, creating new opportunities and wider exposure for her work.

In 2015 alongside three other Ayrshire artists, Susan helped establish The Coach House Gallery at Culzean Castle, where she sold her paintings to both local and international visitors. She left the gallery in 2018 to pursue a solo career and continues to exhibit throughout Ayrshire.

Working primarily in acrylics, Susan creates vibrant seascapes, landscapes, and florals inspired by local scenes, especially views of Arran and Ailsa Craig which often feature in her work.

Susan takes part in markets and exhibitions at The Grain Exchange and The Cutty Sark in Ayr and also with the Handmade in Ayr Market at the Robert Burns Birthplace museum. She paints from her home studio in Ayrshire, and she also has a small pop-up gallery, welcoming visitors by appointment for a relaxed and personal viewing experience.
